Wu Lingyuan, Zhangjiajie
Boasting free bikes, shared lounge and views of mountain, Yangjiajie Inn is situated in Zhangjiajie, 4.5 km from Yangjiajie Scenic Area. This farm stay features free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The property has a family-friendly restaurant with an outdoor dining area. This was our 1st time travelling to China, we were 4 Indians from Singapore and didn't speak a word of Chinese language.. Heavily depended on Google translate for everything. This homestay is cozy and very close to Zhanjiajie (Wulingyuan) National park West gate. The homestay owners made all the difference. They were this very sweet couple who went out of their way to help us, guide us to places and even arrange for taxis. The Owner drove us even a couple of times to the entrance of the park, guided us and he even picked us from the airport and dropped us to the city in the night. The landlady prepared lovely tea everytime, showered us with mandarin oranges from her yard and made meals both breakfast and dinner and was very kind. The people make all the difference when staying in such homestays. Their kindness and warmth will be remembered by us fondly when we think about our China trip.
Rustic feel in the centre of the town. Great location and excellent value for money. 5-6 mins walk from the cable car.
Unique place with a wonderful rustic feel. Loved our large room. Breakfast was better than expected compared to other places we stayed. Once their driveway is complete it will be a top choice for the area. Staff was extremely helpful.
The location was perfect for us who wanted a serene environment. The feel of countryside and farm was both refreshing and relaxing. The hosts Lucas and Eason were both friendly and helpful. The suggestions for our 3-day itinerary around the national park were very useful - we saw most of the popular sights as well as some less frequented by most tourists. Finally, the breakfast and dinner in Whispering Mountain were wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay. It was clean and quiet, beautiful views of the mountains. Very easy communication with Lucas who was very welcoming, and arranged drivers/ tours for us. Can easily walk to the West gate of the park. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable beds. We had most breakfasts and evening meals in the hotel, there was a good variety, but worth planning ahead if wanting to eat out as location is fairly rural.
