The location is an easy walk from the old town of Durnstein so you can get away from the busyness of the old town. If you're arriving by train, the station is right around the corner but the trains are quiet. Breakfast was excellent and prepared and served by Theresa, the owner. Theresa knows how to take care of guests. She answered any questions we had and made excellent recommendations for restaurants.

A very nice secluded farm stay with lovely hosts and a tranquil environment. Easy to go hiking, straight out of the door even.
I loved everything about this welcoming farmhouse. The privacy, the location, the space, the clear instructions on how to obtain the key and the barn with sports equipment and the fun trampoline. I even jumped on it! We were able to bbq and there were also instructions on how to dispose of the ash as well as recycling. This property was so comfortable we were even able to sleep in a few mornings after our previous day excursion. I can’t wait to go back.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I did really enjoy my stay even though I was in transit. Proper country side and a niche farmhouse atmosphere, at least for me

Bauernhof Ablass is a working farm up in the hills near Göstling an der Ybbs. We stayed overnight returning to Vienna from Salzburg. The rooms are large and comfortable. The scenery is amazing. Dinner and breakfast were very home cooked style and consisted of produce from the farm and the local area. Bauernhof Ablass is run by a friendly family with just enough English for us to get by.
