El Bolsón
All units in the farm stay are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Every unit is fitted with a private bathroom and kettle, while certain rooms have a balcony and others also boast garden views. At the farm stay, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The host, Andy, was very friendly and responded very quickly to our last minute reservation. He left in the apartment some delicious goodies elaborated from his own orchard. Delicious apple and pear juices, some friends’ local beer and vermouth. All for sale. The beds were very confortable with white and clean sheets. As were the set of towels.
Las Horquetas
The farm stay provides certain units that include inner courtyard views, and each unit has a private bathroom with a bidet. At the farm stay, all units have bed linen and towels.
Sightseeing tours are available in the area. The farm stay has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open.
It is a charming 100 year old, continously functioning estancia in the center of nowhere. This is another charming feature! If traveling from Perito Moreno to South Patagonia or vice versa it is in the middle of that travel. No better place to stop. Great bird wildlife and all sorts of animals. Dinner and breakfast way above average. Super helpful staff.

Location was pretty good, rooms quite small but clean. Bathroom was clean too and spacious. Common room was really nice and cozy. Kitchen was OK. Is an small hostel right next to his big brother Rancho Grande. In my opinion the price is a bit high for what it is.
The property is very rustic, we loved the lofted ceilings and the large kitchen and living room space. It was great to have a washing machine, but the handle was broken which the owner explained the replacement was ordered and on thew way. There was also no washing machine soap included in the stay, but the owner went out and got us some and brought it to the house. With all the empty unused room in the living room, i would suggest to the owners to make the bedrooms bigger or make that space an extra room.
Rancho Grande is at a great location in El Chaltén - close to the start of all the famous trekking trails. The restaurant area is open 24/7 - food is great (huge and delicious Milanesas! By staying in the hostel, I got 10% discount for all dinners. The atmosphere is very cozy, perfect for an after-hike relaxation. The kitchen area is big, common areas are well-designed.
I preferred this hostel to the Rancho Grande (I stayed in both). It’s smaller, right around the corner, and is not as busy as the Rancho grande. Same owners
Estancia la Estela was a dream location facing a beautiful lake and the Fitz Roy. The rooms were modern and clean and the entire staff was attentive and friendly. A special thank you to Fabio, Samuel, Nicole, and Juan, You made our trip one to remember. The staff goes above and beyond to prepare lunch for the hikes. The horse ride with lunch is a one of a kind experience with magnificent views, friendly horses, and delicious steak. Book as fast as you can!
Overall location looks nice, has a ranch vibe suited with the city, was clean, warm.
Gives the feel of a working farm. The views of Mt FitzRoy are unmatched.
Very, very nice accommodations. Modern ranch cabanas on a 50,000 acre ranch. Included breakfast. Great host.
