The setting is very picturesque and has lovely views of the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed having a walk around meeting the friendly horses and sheep (and the on-site brown Labrador who was a delight!). Staff were friendly, helpful and allowed us a late check in (which we really appreciated).
The pool area was small but perfectly formed. Comfy beds and plenty of shade available. We were lucky to have the pool to ourselves during our stay.
Our accommodation (The Barn) was outstanding. I have never experienced such well equipped accommodation in almost 40 years of travelling. The kitchen in particular had everything you could possibly think of- large oven, air-fryer, full sized fridge and freezer, dishwasher, ample glasses/plates/pans, salt and pepper, tea/coffee etc. The Barn only sleeps 2 people, but you could cook a full meal for 6 people quite easily.
A braai and fire pit were also provided in the private garden (firelighters and wood provided at no cost). Plenty of outdoor seating Small touches like ice and milk being provided really set this place apart for us.
The rest of the accommodation was immaculately clean and the bedroom had a comfortable bed and high quality linen/towels (also enjoyed the Charlotte Rhys toiletries). Air con in the bedroom was a nice touch.
We would would definitely return to Raptor Rise.

WOW where to start? I barely knew about Wolesley but booked here to attend a wedding. I had a number of special requests which were met with no problem. The owners Peppi and Paul are fantastic and truly went out their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, even when we had some unforeseen personal obstacles (unrelated to the accommodation). Finally - The Creative Hub! We enjoyed it so much we went twice. Best toasted sandwich I have had in my life. What a gem of a spot to round off a fantastic weekend away.
Boasting views over the valley, Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages offers cozy cottages with a lounge area.

Beautiful original farm thatch house,, very rustic and is as its advertised, rustic charm on a Beautiful farm with amazing views and a love walk around the dam.
There were some things that we needed sorting out when they arrived, and the staff just got it seen to in a jiffy!
Met other amazing people there, and we gathered together around the fire, which is amazing!
I now know what I need to bring extra with me for next time I go out to this rustic gem.
An absolutely idyllic farm stay - beautiful views, rolling lawns, rustic cottage with super comfy beds and luxury linen. Highlight was the bunnies which the children loved playing with.
The farm stay was something totally different to what we expected, but it is BEAUTIFUL. The view all around is amazing and still closely located to town.
A lovely rustic cottage. It had all the necessary appliances. The host kept us informed of all wine farms and restaurants to visit. The hot tub was amazing.
The owners are friendly and welcoming. The place is beautiful and great value for money. What you see is what you get. I love the rustic look and feel. Even though rustic, the place is well maintained. The open spaces the farm offers were lovely. Nice walks can be taken on the farm. I loved everything about it especially the freedom the space offers
A small farm stay in beautiful surroundings with good eco credentials. Due to the lakes surrounding the property the bird life is exceptional. The staff were helpful and friendly making our stay very relaxing and we really enjoyed the log fired plunge pool. There is a good cafe with a limited menu but food well cooked and beautifully presented. The rooms are modern and yet cosy. A great place to arrive from Cape Town 90 minutes away and chill. Tulbagh is also worth a visit.
