The Thatch Cottage was spacious and well equipped. The fireplace and braai area ensured cosy indoor and outdoor living areas. The breakfast was delicious and prepared thoughtfully and with great care by Ruth, Anne and the team. Sunrise over the valley was stunning. Hiking to and up iNhlosane Peak was an unforgettable experience. Kate's team went to great trouble to ensure we had a generator to be able to watch the rugby. Thank you!

For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Armstrong Cottage has a lovely old farmhouse feel. Very comfortable beds, a stunning covered verandah and overall, very well equipped. A lovely gem in the midlands.
Staying out on a farm in a rural are does have it's charms. The Lodge offer pretty much all you need. The closest shopping is in Engen Sherwood Service Station, there is a Spar there as well as a nice coffee shop in the property next door.
I got to the lodge in a rain storm, so I used the fireplace in the evening, it felt wonderful.
The kitchen is well stocked. Even a French Press for making coffee was there.
It was so peaceful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We felt at home. Breakfast was amazing and rooms are homy and comfortable. We will definitely visit again. A real farm stay with friendly animals to greet you in the morning.

Very spacious farm style with plush finishings made us feel more than comfortable with an impressive mix of rustic and modern classy deco, crockery and glassware. Nice personal touches - fresh milk, butter, farm baked bread, rusks etc for an extra welcome. The hot tub is a really fun event for all, even in the middle of winter. Very conveniently located along the meander yet also very authentic farm stay.
