We are a couple traveling with our dog. We loved the remote location of this tented cabin, whose front deck literally hung over the river below. The view from the deck was spectacular. This rustic cabin had everything you could want for a night's sleep over. The owner catered to our dog by locking up his own dogs in their garden, so our dog could roam around freely without being harassed. We definitely recommend staying over on this beautiful working dairy farm.
This was a superb location. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home and well cared for. Special touches like the home-baked bread were so appreciated. The farm setting was tranquil and our pet was well accommodated. This accommodation is rustic with the serene peace and tranquility that is so typical of a Karoo Farm. Piet and Milda are good-hearted down-to-earth hosts who offered wonderful food at affordable prices. We would love to return for longer some time in the future.
We loved everything about Dwarsvlei. From the breathtaking poplar forest to the lovely old farmhouse, everything clean and tasteful, delicious breakfast! Good coffee! Jen and Mark gave us such a warm welcome. They even let us watch the World Cup final in their lounge with them! I can recommend Dwarsvlei to anyone!Thank you so much. I hope we'll be back soon!
