old world charm of a working farm with beautiful gardens and genuinely friendly owners and staff. Stunning traditional South African boerekos dinner. all sourced from the farmyard and cooked by the homeowner tannie. 10/10
The guest farm was warm, welcome and clean. The hearty dinner was absolutely on point, very tasty and well prepared. The springbok carpaccio was amazing. The garden is beautifully cared for.
We did not stay for breakfast but ordered dinner on the date of arrival.
There is a relatively short detour from the N1 to the farm, but I would travel double that distance just for the dinner.
The accommodation is in a farmhouse, which is comfortable, BUT the dinner can only be described as amazing. The meal was a homely farm-cooked dinner that I would rate 10 out of 10.
Very friendly staff, dinner was excellent and the accommodation had character and charm ( old farm house). Interesting place to visit, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all on offer. Great pub area which is conducive to great conversations with other guests.
