For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The place is simply amazing. Will definitely go back. Very well located close to good wine farms and restaurants. The finishing touches, like warm towels, even starting the fire place for us, just WOW
Great room with everything a person needs.
Plenty of power points, excellent wifi, access to Netflix.
Kitchenette with microwave and fridge.
Air con, block out curtains and very spacious shower.
Very quiet and a short walk from NetCare Christiaan Barnard Hospital.
Left the car at the hospital car park and walked to the hotel.
I enjoyed the Take Away breakfast in my room
I’ve stayed at this property a few times and I’ve always loved it. It’s quiet, the decor has a rustic, classical charm. There are small details such as a story room where you can hear lines from a movie being spoken out loud in the library. I walked down to the restaurant in the courtyard called Bellagio and enjoyed a dinner and some drinks. It was really convenient and easily accessible from the hotel. In the morning I grabbed a coffee from the coffee shop which was delicious, probably the best I’ve had.
The property is set in a nice neighbourhood at the foot of Newlands Forest on the east side of Table Mountain. The Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden is nearby, as are shops and restaurants, and the University of Cape Town. The property itself has a great deal of charm and character (originally a 19th century farm house). Sarah and John were very friendly and helpful hosts and made our stay even better than expected. Really it could not have been better!
Location was so beautiful and peaceful. Old school farm house look and feel with beautiful modern finishes. The beds were super comfy and the heaters and throws were very welcoming. The coffee options, chocolate and wine were appreciated ❤️. The shower was great not to mention the shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. THANK YOU. Great kitchen appliances. Happy there were games instead of TV. Instant hot water.
An oasis in the middle of Capetown. Beautifully decorated retro French farm house style. Lot of charm with beautiful gardens with fruit trees and herbs, where you have breakfast or just relax. The owner/host made us feel at home. No tv's in room, but there is one in the living room.
Delicious breakfasts in a convivial farmhouse setting. Sarah takes care with every detail - best scrambled eggs ever! (I would also have liked to take several bottles of John's homemade marmalade back to NZ with me!).
