For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
We arrived from the most scenic drive into the farm. We were welcomed with a rustic farmhouse with an immense amount of history. Our hosts thought of everything from leaving us with oil lamps, firewood, and a lovely bottle of wine. We also receive a complimentary 20% off at De Krans wines, which is now one of our favorites. This break away was phenomenal and belongs to our "podium" must-retuns...
Everything!! Gorgeous location and a beautiful farmhouse with beautifully appointed cottages. Marie is an amazing lady and a wonderful host!
Lovely attention to detail.
Loved the afternoon tea and the sherry!
Lovely Karoo Farmhouse with authentic living space. Part of a converted barn. Was warm and comfortable with an outside
shared undercover patio space. There was also a large firepit area at the back.
20km up a river gorge under poplar tree avenue lies this unique character old farmhouse. Walking trails, tranquil dam for swimming, gardens, lawns….a real relaxing oasis very well run. The included dinner is 3 course and excellent served on the wide veranda. An experience not to be missed.
Perfect location. Beautiful serenely. Off the grip quaint farmhouse cottage with everything you need. Being dog friendly is a huge bonus. Enclosed area for dogs. Outside bath under the stars was absolutely amazing.
Lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room with original farmhouse floors. Perfectly located relative to local wine farms and restaurants. Comfortable rooms, great hosts, and a beautiful garden.
Lovely 200 year old renovated stables with reed ceilings. Quiet and tranquil farm. Take a walk and discover a beautiful Cape Dutch farmhouse elsewhere on the farm. Sam and Elmarie were excellent hosts and the breakfasts and dinners were sumptuous.
