For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
We are a family of five and we stayed in a very spacious, clean and beautiful suite. We loved the premises. De Old Drift Guest farm is a citrus farm with a great pool, which we enjoyed. They serve a wonderful three course dinner and breakfast, if you like. I would recommend both. Addo Elephant Park is only a very short drive away. Everybody was super friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back.
The location is on a citrus farm, so it feels like a nice farm stay just 10 mins away from the main road.
Food had limited options, but was great.
The service was excellent too.
The staff was really friendly. We enjoyed the camping experience with the outside shower and bathroom. Something totally different! The views were amazing and the Guest Farm is located very close to the Addo Elephant Park.
It’s a rustic safari style farm house. Very spacious and green. Loved the little greenery in the middle of the house. It’s quiet and tranquil allowing one to rest without problem. We received individualised breakfast at desired time. All in all a great experience.
Valued for money. Breakfast was very delicious, our room was neat. Staff is very friendly. The two dogs Mielie and Zazu is so cute. Definitely going to visit De Old Drift Guest Farm again!
this place is still amazing. In the middle of nature, almost next to Addo Parc Happy Lands Farm Stay offers a great opportunity to stay before your Addo visit and even for some more days. You should arrive early to have enough time to enjoy the Garden, the Pool and the beautiful rooms. The hosts (owner of the citrus farm) are the most friendliest persons. Even if we arrived late and all restaurants were closed they made us some food for dinner. So thankful for this experience.
Great breakfast also!
