For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The Farm stay File is in the hills and far away from noisy cities. I was there during a heatwave, but the room was very fresh and airy. During the night it cooled down even more and made for a very relaxing sleep.
The hostess was very kind and I can only recommend to eat there as well. The dinner was a menu with several delicious dishes and dessert. The breakfast was amazing as well.
I wish I could have stayed longer.
We found it more of a family run restaurant with accommodation than a farm stay but we really enjoyed our stay. It is a farm, a fruit farm so there were no farm animals (if you have children). The host was very friendly and helpful, the location on a large property was great and the evening meal and breakfast were both very good. The outdoor dining area is very pleasant and the indoor dining would also be very good in cooler weather. There is a large parking area and several campervans were using this area.
