Spectacular views from the terrace and our windows. The pool was wonderful on a hot day! Bed was super comfy, with lovely linens. Kitchenette had everything we needed and Mafalda even brought fresh bread in the morning. We would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay here again.

The villa is in a beautiful location overlooking a bend in the Douro valley. There are no roads along the valley in this part so it is a haven of peace and tranquility. I don't think I have ever had such a clear view of the Milky Way, thanks to the total absence of light pollution., The villa is very dog friendly and there is no charge for dogs. The host, Rita, is lovely and speaks pretty good English as well as running the whole place. She was extremely kind and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are air-conditioned and there were plenty of extra little touches such as a plug-in fly killer. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and fresh produce. We opted for the 30 Euro dinner which was great. The open air pool overlooking the property and valley was an added bonus..

We were welcomed like family and invited to a local get together for the evening, giving us the chance to meet, eat and party with the local community, which was an unforgettable event. The accommodation is a grande olde lady, clearly showing signs of her age, which makes her all the more loveable. We were given the choice of three rooms, all of which were furnished with antique furniture. Surely not everything is working 100%, but the building and the host make more than up for it.

It was extremely quiet and wonderful to hear birds sing. This was a farm stay & the restored building was lovely. The hugh antique olive press was fabulous to see. Breakfast was good. Location somewhat remote with small town nearby. All restaurants were closed. Owner very accommodating in allowing us to use facility kitchen so we could make our small dinner.

A peaceful and relaxing setting in an 1812 farm house (renovated in 2021), far from the maddening crowds. The hosts, Beatrice and Doro the Wonder Dog, provided us wine and olive oil tasting upon arrival, wonderful breakfast every morning, and a beautifully restored property with excellent bathrooms and kitchenette.
