The Quinta is run extremely well. Angela is an exceptional host. The staff are all kind and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and to ensure you enjoy your stay. Oh, and the view is unbelievable!

What a wonderful treat to stay on Maria’s family vineyard – Casa do Santo. The setting is beautiful, grapevines everywhere you look, and so serene. It was so interesting learning all about the vineyard’s history and the pride in Maria has she shared the different stories of her family. Our room overlooked the pool and the vineyard and was both private and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, and Maria was extremely helpful in making dinner arrangement. The pool was an extra treat, so refreshing and peaceful. Even if you don’t have a car, it’s easy to stay in Provesende. We got around with local taxi driver who Maria introduced us to. He not only took us to dinner but also brought us to one of the local wineries and the morning we were leaving, brought us to the train station. It was a perfect two-night stay at Casa do Santo!

Hotel with an amazing view of the vineyard and mountains and valley. Had everything we needed ( except shampoo/conditioner in bathroom). Breakfast was great and property was clean.

The winery was beautiful. The home is an old style farm house that you would want to stay at in this part of the city. You drive a bit to it. Well worth the drive into the mountains. The views are every where you look! Magical, quaint, a perfect hideaway.
I loved the decor, location, food, and insight winery. strolling the vineyard and gardens in the morning was dreamy…the decor so unique…the views magnificent! the communal table and farm meals were amazing. We loved getting to know other guests at meals. I truly appreciated the designer touches to the whole property. it made it really romantic, yet unique compared to other boutique hotels in the area. A perfect blend of old and new. I also loved wandering the vineyards in the morning.
A lovely rural location. The room was very large and clean. All guests eat together if they agree to accept the dinner invitation from the lovely host, Miguel. The dinner price includes an aperitif, wine and port from the host’s own vineyard and it is free flowing. There is no pushing to buy anything either. A lovely relaxing atmosphere.

The farmhouse is beautiful and situated in a stunning position with far reaching views down to the Douro but close enough to Pinhao for boat and rail trips. A delicious breakfast and supper is served at a communal table in the dining room. It's your choice whether or not to chat to other guests but striking up conversations with strangers can often be surprising and very rewarding! Nothing better than to wind down on the terrace with a glass of wine from the vineyard after a day's sightseeing. The wine tour was a bonus!
beautiful farmhouse nestled in the Douro with breathtaking views of the valleys and their own vineyards. exceptional staff went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. phenomenal breakfast - simple but clearly fresh. this Quinta is an active winery producing ports and table wines. doing a private tour and tasting was especially memorable!
Hosts were very helpful. Views were stunning and the accommodations bigger than expected. We especially enjoyed the farmhouse style dinner and meeting the other guests. Close enough to Pinhao.
The cozy rustic family house situated overlooking the vines of Douro Valley gives the perfect lay out for a weekend getaway. Good meal, a lot of wines (the forty years old House Port wine was nice) and awesome host like Miguel. Recommended :)
