What a great choice we made to stay here, the stay started even before we got there. The hosts were gracious enough to help us finding restaurants to dine at for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. They were always available for our questions before and during the stay. The location is perfect to be away from Faro but not too far away, we went out daily to towns/locations nearby to explore that are of Algarve, for us it was really nice to come back to a quiet place after being out all day. The breakfast they offered also was amazing! Too much food actually, home made and fresh!

Set on a private estate near historic Tavira, this former farmhouse has been converted into a beautiful country getaway, nestled among almond and olive trees.

We enjoyed everything about Monte Do Alamo. The room was lovely, the location beautiful and quiet, hosts and staff were fantastic, the dinner they made for us on our first night was delicious and breakfasts every day were amazing.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Simple quite rustic farmhouse.Peaceful location, very relaxing.
Generous breakfast , Sani looked after us so well.
Beautiful beaches close by and authentic little town.
Our stay was very enjoyable, our apartment was spacious and clean .The breakfast was lovely and the pool was very relaxing, tranquil and quiet. Tavira was about 10 minute drive from the property. Overall we would highly recommend Abacatus Farmhouse.
Beautiful breakfast on the terrace with home made jams, fresh orange juice and delicious scrambled eggs. The honesty bar is a lovely touch! The farmhouse is so peaceful and a beautiful place to switch off and relax! We used the bikes to get around and only 10mins into tavira!
This hotel was literally a breath of fresh air because of its beautiful rural location. Our room had a small veranda/balcony and overlooked the local olive farms. It was a perfect antidote to 5 days of city touring. They had a pleasant dining room with big picture windows where we had our breakfast. There was also a very nice swimming pool but we didn't have time to use it. The hotel wasn't far from the lovely little town of Tavira with all its restaurants.
We loved staying at Abacatus Farmhouse. The pool was great. It was easy to find using google maps, a short drive into Tavira, and to Tavira Island. Our suite had everything we needed, very comfortable. Sani is an excellent host who provided a delicious breakfast and was very helpful with everything we needed.
Beautifully decorated in like a “Key West” style (from Key West in Florida-US) with a farm house charm. Our room was impeccably clean with a fresh pleasant scent, very comfortable bed with crisp linens, a picturesque field view from our window. A wonderful breakfast with home made baked goods. Lina and her husband were very hospitable and friendly, he even helped carrying our luggage. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely everything ❤️
The farmhouse was stunning, rooms comfortable and the hosts made it more special.
Gorgeous breakfast and in a beautiful setting
The property is a renovated farmhouse. All apartments - we stayed in a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment. Could be really lovely .. it’s a work in progress. Beds where comfy.
This place is what it is because of the people who run it and their vision. Yoga is offered in the mornings along with breakfast. The place has rustic charm and is friendly, welcoming and well worth a visit.
It is not a hotel in the traditional sense, more a farm stay - with yoga at its heart. Along with Stephanie and Mark who are lovely hosts. I took my 8 year old daughter with me who also had a fabulous time playing with their 9 year old son.
An all round lovely couple of days.
Attractive farmhouse in a quiet rural area. Very clean throughout. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast provided, though exactly the same every day. We didn’t have a car as like to walk everywhere, but to get to Tavira or Cabanas you can only walk on the main road which is very busy. There is a bus stop at the end of the lane, but buses are quite infrequent.
