Beautiful property. Felt like home. Host was amazing and kind. Food was amazing, felt like we were visiting family. Claudino cooked us wonderful 4 course meal for dinner. Breakfast was a feast. Lovely fire was roaring when we arrived. Best experience of our trip to Portugal. If you are anywhere near…plan to stay. We will be back in summer to enjoy gardens and pool.

Nothing was too much trouble for Danny our smiling host. Modern and character beautifully combine in this property. Everything is as described plus a cool new BBQ area. Immaculately clean, cool and quiet indoors. Generous breakfast was a bonus. We really enjoyed the June blueberry harvest and would not hesitate to return.

A charming and quiet hotel in the countryside, newly renovated within the walls of an 8th-Century fortress. Rooms are kept very clean and comfortable, with a delicious breakfast including both sweet and savory things to eat. The highway is close by, but the hotel itself is in a tranquil area, surrounded by farmland. The hosts themselves have a small farm that you are welcome to explore if you are interested in sustainable agriculture and animals. The property has an inner courtyard as well, with a cozy environment perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend a stay if you are looking to immerse yourself in Portuguese and Ancient Roman history, away from the noise of larger cities. Many cities and towns are within reach for day trips by car including Porto and Braga. The host, Fausto, and his family are incredible friendly and hospitable, with a deep knowledge of the area's history and agriculture. Make sure to ask about places to eat Portuguese food and see some of the best sights northern Portugal has to offer, including nearby Guimaraes.

Wonderful vineyard and valley views at this restful property. Professional and friendly staff, delightful pool, and access to a full kitchen and game lounge. Room was comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend.

Everything!!! The location, very central for visiting North Portugal, very quiet place in the nature close by a small rivier. Breakfast was very good and complete and Tanja was very lovely. The bed was very good, we slept so good, no backpain 😉. A nice pool and restaurant in walking distance. And big compliments to Rui, the host. . He is so friendly and helpfull. We really felt us home ❤️

Everything we are so welcome from the lady,it was amazing experience. I loved to awake in such peaceful place. Kids loved play in the swimming pool outside. And inside till late. The rooms so spaces amazing,it was clean like a loved. Definitely I would go back.
