The location and views were spectacular. We really enjoyed dinners at l'Inevitável restaurant. The dishes were locally inspired but with a modern take. Delicious! The staff were friendly, helpful, professional and could speak English. The pool area was gorgeous too. Beautiful grounds during the day and at night. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We also greatly enjoyed the wine and port tastings. Beautiful venue and fair prices.

Absolute paradise! So glad we choose to stay here instead of Pinhào. Angela and her team look after you like a King & Queen. Every aspect of this stay was absolutely perfect. The views are breathtaking. There is also a train that goes past, which you can catch into Pinhào or other towns. We fell in love. We will be back!

one of the most beautiful farmstays we ever stayed at. the surrounding nature was amazing. we really enjoyed the breakfast and also made well use of the jacuzzi in the spa area. the staff is very helpful and did their best to advise us on activities in the area.

Host was very friendly and great communication before and during. Location was very beautiful and pool area was lovely. Room was spacious and there was free parking. Nice facilities in the kitchen and shower was great.

The Casal da Viúva was an amazing place to stay. The hosts are extremely welcoming! We arranged to have dinner there, and the two of them made us a great home-cooked meal. The breakfast spread was excellent. We got to hear stories of wine production in the Doura Valley, got a tour of their personal collection of historical wine making and farming implements, and had a very enjoyable time. Highly recommended!!

We would definitely book again and for those who want to be off the beaten track but close to all facilities we would recommend you do not miss this gem of a place .
We stayed at the Quinta for one night during our road trip through the country. José and Annabella gave us a tour of the farm and the facility where they produce small batches of wine. We had a priceless dinner with very nice conversation (in English). The Quinta is very peaceful, clean the rooms are lovely furnished. 100% recommendation.
