Waking up at Quinta de Carcavelos, overseeing the greenery, is just so peaceful and delightful. Breakfast is super tasty, with fresh juice, fruit, yummy bread, among many other delicious things. The whole 'quinta' is beautifully decorated and Ana is a wonderful host, always making sure we felt at home.

This place is truly exception. The attention to detail is outstanding. You are staying in a work of art. Everything from the lighting that comes on around you at night, the embroidery on the towels, the signs and the decoration around you - the facilities in general. There are two rooms opposite each other with a central balcony looking at a wonderful hilly/mountainous view with an outdoor swimming pool below you. On one side of the building is the jacuzzi and to the other side is the kitchen area with gas cookers, toaster, utensils, etc. There is an outdoor bathroom/changing room for the swimming pool. You are really in a little pocket secluded away from it all, but it is a simple short walk to the village where there is a cafe etc. The room is small and compact but includes a microwave, coffee machine, fridge, TV, bathroom with large shower space and a really comfortable double bed from which you can look out over the hills/mountains. Lots of parking via a narrow road to the property. Everyone super friendly and helpful! This is a unique experience! Highly recommended in sunny weather so you can enjoy the property; and relax on the grass by the pool; otherwise you'd be trapped in the small bedroom and balcony area.

The hostess is very friendly. Early check-in approved. The rooms are very nice in a rustic style. Good breakfast. There was a barbecue area, tables, and chairs.

Pool area looked very inviting, but it was a bit chilly to use. Thoughtfully restored family farm with tasteful attention to detail. It's a little away from Amarante proper but an easy drive into town through the beautiful countryside.?
Flora and fauna all around. We regret that we talked so little with the owners about their daily work, organization of farm work, household, building communications. But Portugal, with its landscapes and roads, had deprived us of the ability to speak on the day of arrival. The air conditioners are thoughtfully placed and really saved us from the +34C heat. Outdoor pool as well. A place for travelers who want silence, peace and great amenities, but loud street entertainment should be looked for elsewhere.
We liked the authenticity of the place. It is an old house in the hands of the same family for a couple of centuries. They let you use a part of the house for your stay. The property sits on an extensive piece of land with vineyards and old fruit tree groves. Gardens are overgrown but it only gives the feel of a rustical childhood holidays. There is a nice vista to the nearby hills. The room was very clean. Wi-fi with good speed.

In general we liked everything, the place in the countryside with nicely renovated old farmhouses, the house was nice and quiet and the bed fanstastic we slept like never before. My husband suffer from allergies and they completely disappered the first day her so the environment must be very good. The owners, wonderful people who assisted us a lot and are very social persons both of them
Casa de Pascoaes lives and breathes history. This beautifull farmhouse (vinho verde) has been in the same family for five centuries. The last generation is struggling to keep things running. But: what a warm welcome, what a service, what an impressive rooms. Also very clean, nice breakfast and comfortable bathroom. loved it all!
