Fantastic location and great hosts.
Lois and Brendon went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed.
They went above and beyond when we were out one day and it rained. They had our washing on the bed when we got home, especially appreciated as we flew out the next day.
We will definitely return.

Wonderful hosts who were very warm and welcoming.
This is a working farmstead and as such visitors should understand that you will be invited to partake in feeding the young animals- for me, this was a joy.
We were offered a vast array for breakfast where almost everything was homemade.
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
I recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and comfortable, giving us a good break from the city. The surrounding is peaceful with beautiful view and friendly farm animals. Host is also attentive and responsive to our needs.
We stayed 2 nights at Silverstream upon arrival at Christchurch. We had fun feeding the Alpacas and the whole place feels quaint and relaxing. Kit who is the owner of this entire property is also very friendly. We were here during the winter season and we’re glad to learn that the beds were equipped with warmers to make our night rest a more comfortable one. A good Farmstay for families with young children.
Dave was very friendly and interesting and passed on his local knowledge about supermarkets and beaches. I liked that it was a farm stay, and very peaceful, so I had the best nights sleep since I arrived in New Zealand.
We had such a wonderful time at Silverstream, our host was great taking us to show the Alpacas and helping our boys out with walking them, grabbing branches to feed the Alpacas. Hearing his story and how he and his family came to own the farm, was really interesting. A beautiful setting with everything we needed and the addition of a wonderful breakky. So peaceful. I would definitely stay again.
