For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
The animals on site were awesome. They have 6 rhinos and a number of zebra and eland living on the farm, and the animals often wandered within 10-15 feet of the porch. They also wander freely around the cabins; there is no fence between us and the animals. That part was very fun; it was cool to see the rhinos so close while eating breakfast or having coffee on the porch. I wish I could give this place a higher rating, but the inconvenient location and lack of hot water were just not great.
Very good location at the gate to the park. Very nice private camping spots , rustic but functional. solar hot water!
