For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Mwai and Anne are lovely hosts! They welcomed us in their lives and this was a moment we'll never forget. The place is lovely and we enjoyed a tour of the property. The surroundings of the house are great as well. The meals Anne prepared us were delicious and we enjoyed the time we spent speaking with this lovely couple. We recommend Kepro Farm a lot!
My husband and I stayed at Ololo Safari Lodge for one night as part of our honeymoon. It was the most perfect getaway - lovely and relaxing spot to stay before and after a day of game drives around the Nairobi National Park. The lodge itself was beautiful and quaint - all the food was homemade so had a real farm to table feel to it. Great breakfast in the morning too!
The best lodge I have ever stayed in. Beautiful and in great location. It’s paradise with a Michelin quality restaurant. From farm to table everything we ate was excellent. There staff were the finest I have ever encountered at a hotel.
We really liked the farm and the tour we got. Also the fact that the food is directly prepared from the garden in an eco-friendly way is very impressive.
Ololo is everything a traveler to Nairobi could hope for: an authentic stone farmhouse transformed into a lovely safari lodge within the Nairobi National Park that offers first class lodging and gourmet dining, a garden swimming pool, attentive staff, twice daily game drives into the Park and excursions to local attractions on request. All this is located just minutes from downtown Nairobi.
I really liked that I stayed even for a while with these nice people, their stories and everyday life. The farm is a wonderful example of agritourism where you can only learn and enjoy.
