For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
An exceptionally beautiful location.
Charming big room with character.
Perfect for both a visit to Etna and taormina. Nino is very friendly. He makes the best Italian breakfast. His wife Carmela cooks very well too. Her dinner was perfect after a heavy hike on the Etna. This was the best Agriturismo we visited. I would recommend this to everybody.
I don’t often write reviews but La Rocca De La Rose was wonderful and the owners were warmly welcoming.
We came on a sunny Sunday for one night to the most stunning “agriturismo". Like a place you imagine from books and somehow only see in films. Simple and absolutely charming. We spontaneously got an extra table for 2 set up and had the most wonderful traditional lunch with local ingredients, wine and several local families. An experience we will truly never forget.
A lovely agriturismo where you can get a real feel for the sense of local farm-villa life near Etna. The villa is super charming and makes you feel a bit special, like being in an old Sicilian story.
The excursions and activities were great. Making pasta, wine tasting and cocktail making was fantastic. Much more informative than others ee have done. Trip to Etna was very good and again very informative.
Breakfast was amazingly good with plenty of fresh produce...more than anywhere else we stayed.
Overall the place is very rustic...using natural elements to make stairs, pathways, etc.
Wonderful host, Nino made us feel at home. Although the diner wasn’t possible in the week we were there, everything else was wonderful. Nice natural rustic surroundings. Good location to make a trip to mount Etna.
The room was so comfy & the whole place is immaculate. It was easy to find & parking is ample, secure & easy. Our host was great and really accommodating as I needed to change my check in time. The traditional Sicilian breakfast from the family farm was delicious & set up for climbing Etna. I was lucky to visit at harvest time & sample the incredible fruits, honey & olive oil grown by the family in Etna - which you see smoking from the windows. I felt so welcomed - I will definitely visit again.
The owner, Alberto, is a fountain of knowledge about the local area and, in particular, Mount Etna. There are wonderful views from the property, down to the coast and behind to Etna. The property is in a rural position with wonderful views. It has a rustic, homely feel. We were also recommended a fantastic, local restaurant within walking distance of the property. Excellent Sicilian cooking. The breakfast at the property was superb. Locally baked pastries and tasty bread.
