This was my first time staying on a masseria and it totally exceeded my expectations. My room was very new, modern and spacious, with a big bathroom (walk-in shower, two sinks, etc.), a sofa, a fridge, a drying rack for beach clothes and a private terrace overlooking the fields. I appreciated that the terrace doors had screens, so you could let in lots of fresh air without any bugs! From there it was a quick walk through the garden to the tree-lined outdoor pool and breakfast area. The families that own the masseria and their staff are all very kind and helpful. I thought it was an excellent location for visiting different beaches along the coast, and it was never more than a ten-minute drive in the evening into one of the many surrounding villages for dinner.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. The place is very well maintained "medival" farm (masseria). It kept that old fashion athmosphere very nicely. Breakfast was very good and hosts friendly and helpful.
This is a really beautiful apartment. Rustic in style with all that you need. The bed is really comfortable. I overslept my alarm. A lovely continental breakfast is served
