Staying at this traditional winery in Frascati was an unforgettable experience steeped in history and culture. The host, Oreste, embodies the warmth and generosity of a classic Italian gentleman. His home radiates comfort and charm, offering a truly unique stay that felt both authentic and welcoming.
One of the highlights of our time here was the daily delivery of fresh bread from Oreste’s own bakery. Every morning, we were greeted with an array of delicious breads – without a doubt the best we had during our entire European trip.
For those with a car, the location is incredibly convenient, with just a little over a half-hour drive to a parking lot near the Termini station. From there, exploring Rome and the surrounding areas was a breeze.
If I could give more than 10 stars, I would. This place deserves 20! We will definitely be back and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for an authentic Italian countryside experience.

Giulia was a great host, we loved our stay there and Achilles made us feel very welcomed! We only wish we knew to book a tasting ahead of time, as the place is quite small and if they book a private showing, you might not be able to join. We were able to sneak into an earlier smaller group so got to all we wanted and highly recommend trying Giulia’s 10/10 wines and olive oil!
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Handy location at the Monti area within walking distance from the main train station (and great, rustic restaurant "Trattoria Al Tettarello") The Blue room was really clean, functional, quiet and comfortable.

This hotel exceeded our expectations for Rome. We stayed in 12 hotels/farmstays over 4 weeks for our European trip (Holland, Italy, Paris) and this was one was the absolute best value. The bed was in the top 3, the room was very spacious for a major city hotel and the bathtub would have been amazing if it wasn't 36 degrees out. I was tempted to have an ice bath but I had no access to ice.
Set in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Rome, this converted farmhouse was a great spot to get over jet-lag for a couple of days before heading into the city to stay and see the sights. A short train ride to Castel Gandolfo. The hotel is comfortable, lovely pool, and the buffet breakfast is delicious with friendly staff!! A free shuttle is offered from the local Metro station which is very handy.
There’s a reason why the ratings are so high at Il Casale nel Parco Guesthouse, the attention to detail is second to none in this recently renovated 200 year old farm house. This is a small family business run by Ludovico and his parents. Ludovico goes above and beyond as a host and nothing seems too much trouble.
I cant recommend Il Casale nel Parco Guesthouse highly enough.
