The farm is absolutely stunning and our accommodations were perfect. The views are amazing but the jewel of our stay was Mario. He is so kind and full of life. He is a wonderful host and his cooking is delicious. The ingredients were farm to table. Mario shared his farm with us. We felt at home as he introduced us to the fruits of his labor; Mushroom, apple, persimmon, cherry, walnut and many more foods scattered through out his farm. If you like, ask him to take you to see his over 1000 year old olive tree. Many of the trees in the grove are ancient and represent the long history of the farm. We were sad to leave Mario and his labor of love.

This place is like a dream and feels like a private secluded resort. The abbey is originally from 1100, expanded over the years, and now beautifully restored. The views are amazing, as well as the food and the wine, which is all from their own vineyard. Super friendly staff that you get to know quickly.
I’ve seen some reviews about bad access road, but there are two access roads. The road coming in from Cefalù direction is not bad at all. Only some drainage channels you need to slow down for. And it’s through their own vineyards and olive groves, so super pretty. The access road coming in from Castelbuono is much worse though. If coming from there, I’d recommend continuing on the SS286 a bit and taking the other road.

The location, Julia and Mario, the good breakfast and very enjoyable good dinners, the friendly atmosphere, and the willing of Mario and Julia to help w advice, suggestions, and make the stay very memorable. The place is magical and very lush and cared for.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The highlight of our trip! Everybody on the estate is super friendly and welcoming. The home cooked dinners were rustic and delicious. The swimming pool was perfect. The room itself was big, and the bed was very comfortable. I would love to return and stay even longer!
This is the type of place that you won’t find anymore! If you are looking for an authentic, truly Sicilian experience, this is it!!! We were incredibly affected by the great hospitality of this lovely Sicilian family - by far the best accommodation we had and will have for a long time! The breakfasts and dinners (you should not opt out of this) are all home-made with products from the farm and were an absolute treat! Overall, the value of our days at L’Uliveto cannot be beaten. Within the three days we felt like we were a part of the family.

Beautiful and carefully thought out restored farmhouse. We had the top apartment which was beautiful . Clean and everything we could wish for. Very traditional but also modern aspects. Cool inside with high windows.
Rural property up long driveway in hills about 10 minutes from coast. Property has distant sea views. Very hospitable and plentiful breakfast. Dinner was also offered - italian home cooking at its best!
Our stay at L’Uliveto was fantastic from start to finish. We were treated to a fabulous dinner on arrival, which was definitely some of the best food we had all trip! The rooms and facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was also the best we had whilst in Italy, with a great range of home grown fruit, cake, yoghurt etc. Finally, the owners are incredibly welcoming and go the extra mile at every step. I would thoroughly recommend this farm stay.
Giacomo and Bina were the perfect hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We were treated like family. The food was delicious, varied and authentic Sicilian. All homemade using ingredients from their farmstead. Their homemade wine, served at dinner was exceptional.
I never thought that a hotel, which I just booked to stay economically near the north coast of Sicily, would be one of the highlights of my tour. I was so impressed by this agritourismo hotel. Very nice location, the view from the room with Mediterranean see, very naturalistic and genuine Sicilian food. I recommend you to make yourself hungry at arrival to enjoy the dinner there, which is "too" delicious and you will be full. The staff is very nice and you will be treated like as if you were a family member.
