Excellent and perfectly clean room! The home-made huge breakfast for itself is worth to go there. We will again, for sure!

We were in the Deluxe rooms which are a bit separate from the main buildings.
Friendly hosts, good size comfortable room with heatpump, park right outside the room, good large bed.

Great place to go to relax and use as a base for daytrips. Very friendly staff and a beautiful outdoor area, the pool has a great view. We also really enjoyed the breakfast.
Boasting inner courtyard views, Masseria Sierro lo Greco offers accommodation with barbecue facilities and a patio, around 25 km from Palombaro Lungo.

Maybe this place had better days but now it is a bit a joke. It looks quite well on the photos, but the reality is a bit harsh. The host was nice. As the other tourist writes, there were animals, but most probably hungry and in a state calling for help. A dog with a hurt leg and a lot of young hungry kittens with a pregnant mom which cried for some food. We have bought cat food and for 3 days fed them! I have already noticed that "a countryside" is a bit different towards animals, than the rest of the country, which is one of the reasons I would not recommend this place to any family with children. We had a dinner included. I do not complain, but you can probably get the same things in the city, with vegetables included. In the offer they write many fantastic details which are exactly not when you get the room. The worst thing however, that happened to us, was the payment. On the Booking site they didn't have the option of payment. I have got the message to pay in the property. After our arrival I wanted to pay at once. The host said it is ok, and it was done via Booking. I was surprised but I make a lot of reservations so I do not recall exactly every single reservation procedure. Just before we checked out I had asked again, if everything was all right. I talked to two persons and nobody didn't mention, that actually the payment wasn't done via Booking. We left. The same day I took the message where the host was accusing us of fraud and threatening us with a police! Actually, the message was sent some 15 minutes after we left! We have been travelling via countryside we were out of internet connection. If I knew, I would come back and pay him by cash. Then there was a whole circus with mails, messages, and money transfers, and finally we have not been able to realize our plans. I am really sorry, because I like such places and this time I was totally surprised how much the offer is different in reality.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated La volpe e l'uva Dimore provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi.

Absolutely wonderful vacation villa, with huge pool, attentive staff and generous host - Giuseppe, who does his best to fulfill your needs, help you or just advise you great dining spots.
We really liked that we didn’t have to carry any keys with us, as all of the doors unlocked with a code.

The host is a great guy. Jovial, friendly and helpful ...
The lodging is somewhat Spartan but this is in line with the Masseria concept. I fell in love with his little mutt named Nili, his blue/gray Vietnamese pigs, the chickens and the goose (geese).
Located in a very out of the way location. BTW, i reccomend that you go to Ginosa for dinner. It is wild to see the whole town out at night walking 🚶♀️ talking and generally quite pleased with themselves ... and why not??
I am glad we made the effort to stay here and then to go to Matera. Another gem.
Casal Dragone, a property with a garden, is set in Matera, 14 km from Palombaro Lungo, 14 km from Matera Cathedral, as well as 14 km from MUSMA Museum.

Fully refurbished rooms with comfortable beds, a giant balcony with a view over the vineyard, a warm room on a cold night, and a spectacular breakfast (the best on our trip, thus far!) with homemade cakes, cheeses and extras. We loved this stay! We felt taken care of and even spoiled for comfort. Our German Shepherd dog-child had all the room in the world to roam and was warmly welcomed. Thank you for such lovely hospitality. We also left with a great selection of goodies from the vineyard store.
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Excellent B&B, everything was superb. Our room was very clean and well-equipped, with a nice balcony overlooking the farm. Probably the best part of our stay was the breakfast, with everything fresh and eggs from the farm. The host is amazing. We stayed here and visited Matera for the whole day. We could only stay one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer.
The farm has all the animals you can imagine finding on a farm, plus peacocks! A big family with kids lives here and manages the farm and the guesthouse. It was a nice place for one night. They are friendly and the room was a good for the price. Only 20 minutes from Matera. If you don't like kids or animals, this is not the place for you.
