The accommodation was extremely clean and offered a nice break from the busy city centre, just a 10-minute drive away. The staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was extraordinary – absolutely delicious! The kind man at reception even walked us to our room and showed us everything with such pride in what they’ve built.

Fully refurbished rooms with comfortable beds, a giant balcony with a view over the vineyard, a warm room on a cold night, and a spectacular breakfast (the best on our trip, thus far!) with homemade cakes, cheeses and extras. We loved this stay! We felt taken care of and even spoiled for comfort. Our German Shepherd dog-child had all the room in the world to roam and was warmly welcomed. Thank you for such lovely hospitality. We also left with a great selection of goodies from the vineyard store.

All. Perfect place. One of the pleasant experiences of our trip. The hostess is great and gave us precise explanations for the trip to Matera. The homemade dinner made from products from the farm was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Very quiet and clean accommodation. Nothing was too much for owner and helped us tremendously with advice and tips. We had to return to the Netherlands earlier due to medical reasons and owner gave us the remaining days back without any problem! Really super!

Excellent and perfectly clean room! The home-made huge breakfast for itself is worth to go there. We will again, for sure!
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Nicolai and his father were extra in everything. They were kind and offered us a ride from the recommend parking, showed us the area, welcomed and were available to every need. The breakfast was a lovely experience, with fresh coffee, pastries and organic food straight from the family farm. It's a kind and warm family business with beautiful heritage.
Bea,part of the family who own the place, & manager of the Masseria, was exceptionally helpful & charming. She gave us advice where to go, where to eat etc.
The Masseria is on a working farm & the whole family is involved in running it.

This beautifully restored fortified farmhouse was exceptional in every way. The room, the breakfast, the hilltop views, the service. It was only about 5 minutes from Matera, but well away from city noise and congestion. Parking was easy and free, at the door to our spacious room. The Managers, Beatrice and Pasquale, speak English.
Very unique experience - staying at a renovated farmhouse / tower in a quiet rural area just 10 minutes drive from Matera. The compound is situated on a hill with great views of the area.
Rooms were big and the breakfast was great.
The receptionist / manager there was very helpful.
Absolutely gorgeous building. 15th century farmhouse, completely restored. Amazing really.
Wonderful staff. They couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast out of this world with loads of homemade breads, cakes, preserves etc…
