This is a very special place, unlike your average Hotel in the village. La Selvaggia is at the upper end of Mandello in the middle of the beautiful nature away from everything - almost like a mountain hut. We were in Mandello for the Moto Guzzi Festival and we really enjoyed being able to get away from all of the people and the noise when going back to the hotel in the evening. The property is very well kept and there is a beautiful pool as well. You can see in everything that this is an owner run family business. It's just got this family touch. We only got to meet Vanessa and she was super nice.
While we liked the fact that this place is a bit remote, it might not be right for everyone. It's a 7-8 minute walk from the parking up to the hotel on a nature path. Nothing crazy and a lovely walk but if you are not so stable on your feet, it's not ideal. Vanessa will be happy to offer you and your luggage a lift between the parking and the hotel (quite an experience) but of course she can't do it every time you come/go.

Wonderful place in a lovely location. Couldnt ask for a more peaceful and beautiful setting.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfasts were delicious, plenty of homemade pies and goat cheeses.
A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Cremeno, Agriturismo Cascina Cornella is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain.

It was an idilic location. The atmosphere was cosy in the morning although it didn't seem that way when we arrived in the foggy evening 😁. The walkways can be steeper than usual at places. The driving route to the Agriturismo is curvy and narrow, typical Italian mountain road. Not for something bigger than maybe a camper van and that driver should be very skilled.
In the cold foggy evening we were welcomed in a warm rustic room. I believe our room was connected to the central building which was used central heating with firewood, but I may be wrong. The breakfast is in my opinion a rich breakfast with great cheeses and coffee, fresh milk and joghurt.

The host gave us the best room with the view of the Como Lake. The stay was excellent. Room was small but very nice, quiet and clean. We really enjoyed the view from the window and from the garden as well. It was very nice one -night stay.
The host was great! We came in the late afternoon and we didn't had a lunch so he offered us some food- bread with bresaola & cheese, coffee and some oranges from his farm from Sicily. We totally recommend this place to others!
It is a lovely place with a stunning view, beautifully designed and the facilities in the house. Perfect for chilling and relaxing. Even though the house in the rural area, it has everything you need in the house. it takes about 20 minutes to get to a more lively area with restaurants and a big shop. A nice restaurant is just 3 mins walking from the house.
Authentic place, incredible views, pleasant owner, who took care about our accommodation and offered to cook a dinner for us, as we came in the evening.

Location for restaurants, lido and ferry boat service was superb. Very rustic accommodation too; basic but comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. Charming landlady too, who provided some good local tips
Up on the hillside overlooking mandello owner of property Livio Scurria was very accomadating excelent of information about town and sroundings,property located on working farm and olive orchard . when you are there pic up some of his own olive oil . also great information about Moto Guzzi he is long time resadent of mandello
Beautifully decorated in a rustic style in keeping with a traditional Italian home. The whole place felt like something out of a Italian novel! Our room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. The restaurant was friendly and comfortable with a lovely outdoor terrace. Our breakfast was fresh and delicious. We stayed for dinner each evening we were there and the food was prepared and presented to such a high standard we could have been in a top class restaurant. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. We hope to return some day!
The views are just fantastic, worth every penny. It is dated and rustic but clean and simple. Having the restaurant downstairs made the evening very easy, the food was delicious too. Breakfast was a good selection. They were very accommodating of our dog, which was really appreciated.
