This is a very special place, unlike your average Hotel in the village. La Selvaggia is at the upper end of Mandello in the middle of the beautiful nature away from everything - almost like a mountain hut. We were in Mandello for the Moto Guzzi Festival and we really enjoyed being able to get away from all of the people and the noise when going back to the hotel in the evening. The property is very well kept and there is a beautiful pool as well. You can see in everything that this is an owner run family business. It's just got this family touch. We only got to meet Vanessa and she was super nice.
While we liked the fact that this place is a bit remote, it might not be right for everyone. It's a 7-8 minute walk from the parking up to the hotel on a nature path. Nothing crazy and a lovely walk but if you are not so stable on your feet, it's not ideal. Vanessa will be happy to offer you and your luggage a lift between the parking and the hotel (quite an experience) but of course she can't do it every time you come/go.

The house is a little bit tucked away in the cou trying which I like. The room was a good size. Looks newly renovated, quite modern. It was very clean. Bed was comfortable and the bed sheets felt cozy.

The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, the outdoor seating was perfect on a Saturday morning overlooking the farmers market. About 15 min from the train station, 10 min from the ferry, it sits across the street from Lake Como with several restaurants around.
Very rustic and charming old villa. In walking distance to all the sites. Wonderful owners and very responsive. Great breakfast considering in Italy breakfast usually consists of a croissant and coffee.
A wonderful place, right at the lake-front perfect for a day of exploration as it's right outside the ferry stop. The experience of checking in was rustic, but was very charming. We had to wait for a little while but the restaurant staff gave us a prosecco while we waited in the restaurant garden.
The breakfast across the road was a nice treat, we got ours to take away for the ferry and it was an authentic italian experience.

Breakfast spread is amazing, full of house made goods and goats cheese and yogurt made on the farm.
The location is beautiful! The views of Lecco and the surrounding mountains are stunning. The apertivo and breakfast, which included food from their farm (goat cheeses and fruits/veggies), were fantastic. The room, including the bed, was very comfortable.
This Agritur is a great place for quiet staying with amazing views and endless calmness. The hosts were so lovely, the rooms are modern and there is also an option to see the goat farm and the cheese making process. The breakfast is nice offering variety of home made cheeses and cakes and you
can also ask for an egg as your wish. We really enjoyed our time there.
