The facility is a beautifully converted sheep farm, the rooms and public spaces decorated in perfect taste. Very comfortable beds and very quiet. We were included in a 10 course Sunday dinner that was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives The owners provide much of the service to overnight guests, so it was excellent.

Eris made us feel like family. He welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. We were surprised to find out that he was also the chef!! Excellent dinners! Breakfast was also wonderful made even more special with Angela’s delicious baked goods - a different variety each morning!! We had a fantastic time!

Nunzio is a pleasant and non-intrusive host. We were welcomed with a basket of eggs from the house hens. The property is ideal for people looking for tranquility, in between fields. The nearest supermarket is a couple of km away in the town of Santeramo. The holiday home is well-positioned to reach Matera or Alberobello or Bari, but we managed also Lecce. There are two peaceful dogs at the property lying around and a nosy cat! The swimming pool is of decent size, and while we were using it it was even attended by a life-guard. It is, though, offered to a limited number of outside guests, but the beds are plentiful.

When we arrived, the heat was on ready for us to be nice and cozy in our room. The bathroom was an excellent size and there was lots of space for luggage. Our hosts were beyond accommodating and extremely friendly. Having a "clicker" to the entrance gate was nice, so we never felt we were bothering them if we came back a little late. The wifi worked incredible. They served large breakfasts and a delicious dinner (extra cost).

The location was exactly what we wanted, a couple of days of down time at the end of a two week hectic vacation! The food was homemade and excellent. We purchased our evening dinners and were well rewarded with 4-5 course meals, including red wine. Breakfast was at the time we requested so we could sleep in, as well as our requested time for our evening meal. As we were there off season, we were a family of five alone. We loved walking the property and would bring a family with,ids during the high season as they had a pool and other outdoor equipment plus board games. Interesting history of 84 year old cook though they spoke no English and us no Italian, we had lively conversations through a translator app on our cell phones! Very low cost for a stay and excellent dinner. Not a luxury farm stay but the kind we wanted!

This is a proper farm stay, quirky and characterful. The amazing food was the highlight of the stay. Beautifully presented and using authentic local ingredients both breakfast and dinner were a real treat. The restaurant and public space of the Masseria are renovated to be very true to the era of the property and are lovely. The hosts and staff were without exception friendly and welcoming.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
It was different. It has farm animals and we ate with the staff in a large dining room. It also had a small buffet for breakfast and it was fine. Friendly staff. Very accessible.
