Podere Pradarolo is absolutely beautiful and their wines are incredible, if you like natural wines made with minimal intervention. The hosts were so kind, and the breakfast was delicious. So many homemade goodies. It’s not very close to major attractions, but that was fine for us as we were just looking for a beautiful place to relax. Parma is only about a 35 minute drive and we checked out the Dallara museum for formula 1 cars. It’s a little off the beaten track and only a few small villages close by, but we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

I spent three days with the wonderful couple Luisa and Maurizio in their astonish old farmhouse. I relaxed in the cozy room with a view over the valley. The food was delicious and the plate like piece of art. Comfortable hiking tracks and I took a day tour to the beautiful town of Bardi where I saw its castle. I will definitely come back.

For example, I requested a bike: it was outside waiting for me. I requested more towels: they were waiting for me in my room when I got back inside. Things like this.

We loved the place. Lovely Maya was the first one to meet us with her wagging tail. Quickly Luisa followed with a warming smile. Showed us the farm. No question was too much.
The breakfast and diner where outstanding. Totally loved the almond and ricotta pie.
