We were upgraded to a lovely cabin which was especially great because we were storm-stayed here. We will be staying one extra night. The hosts made this easy and checked on our food supply. The cottage is spacious, well- equipped and lovely. We’ve enjoyed the farm’s 2 dogs, sheep and horses. While we would have liked to continue our journey as originally planned, we were very fortunate that this is where we were held up.
Clean, spacious, and convenient! Loved the clean design. Kind farm dogs, we were greeted very graciously by the host, and shown around even though we arrived much later than anticipated.
Guesthouse in a farmhouse just off Road 1, on the road between Varmahid and Blondous. We were traveling along with family and friends and had booked all 3 rooms so we had the living room and kitchen to ourselves. The place was least priced one during our Iceland trip. The owner was very nice and showed us his lambs and we had a nice chat with him next morning. Wish the heating had been better, it would have been more enjoyable. We got extra blankets as we did at other places in Iceland. People everywhere were nice. Would recommend the place.
Good location whether you start your Ringroad trip clocks or anticlocks from Reykjavik. We did our trip anticlocks, and this was our stop after sleeping in Egilsstadir the night before. Clean, spacious, very nice kitchen and bathroom. Very quiet and in the middle of nowhere with beautiful countryside. Buy food beforehand as the closest town is 30min.Beautiful church. This is a farm and looks as such. Ideal stay for group of friends or family traveling together.
The guesthouse is on a working farm surrounded by mountains. It is conveniently located right off Road 1. The host was very responsive to our service call in the early morning. The guest house had a large kitchen with great amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable. The host’s Border Collie was a super sweet girl.
