A very nice farm stay in a lava field! It is located on the way to Húsavík where we headed early next morning for a whale watching tour followed by lunch and a wonderful visit to Asbyrgi canyon. As this was roughly the halfway point of our trip, we were able to do laundry (line dry on a rack).

Everything! The beds, the bathroom, the breakfast. Local tips from Abba and fresh eggs from her chicken in the morning! Totally worth it! Don’t miss it on your way to the north! :)
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Place was great! Very clean and cozy! Had a nice large kitchen to use as well! The place was great to spend the night - farm like setting and very quiet! We highly recommend staying here!
We were right on a working farm in our two little cabins w/ sheep and dogs going back and forth and pretty views in all directions. Cool, newish cabin set-ups, nice windows and porches albeit small bathrooms (to be expected). We frankly wish we had more time there as it was all very relaxing. Quick drive into Husavik. Owner was nice and stayed out of our way.
Very clean, well organized. The location is far from any town, and it's quite expensive (like everything else in Iceland), but you know that when you book it, so I can't complain. It was nice to have a kitchenette to cook meals. Very peaceful setting, on a farm with sheep. Super quiet. Check in was easy. Nice place to stay, between Mývatn/Reykjahlíð and Húsavík.

This is a very beautiful flat with two separated sleeping rooms. It’s embedded on the farm with sheep and two dogs, so you can enjoy a little bit of Icelandic country life. The kitchen is fully equipped but doesn’t have an oven but a microwave instead. I enjoyed my two nights stay very much. I was lucky to have the flat for myself in the first night and shared it with two lovely ladies in the second night.
Beautiful place near lake, modern and cozy equipment. Amazing view from the hotpot which is situated on the terrace. Friendly owners. We visited farm with hundreds of sheep. Good vibes here♥️
Ari and Freydis were so warm and welcoming and easy to get in touch with. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm and they had plowed everything for us. The dogs are amazing and friendly (but they will keep them inside if you don’t like or want to be around dogs). The cabin was cute and homey and was everything we had wanted in farm stay cabin guesthouse. We saw the northern lights here and could see them from inside the cabin.
there is a rustic cabin, clean, nice, in the middle of the farm.do not worry the animals smell is not at all to be felt. we did not meet the owners bec the keys were inside the cabin. i had a very good sleep, the bed was comfortable.
