For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The stay was lovely; I loved the breakfast and dinner, which were included. The swimming pool was small but ok, and there was a good sauna. The place was clean, with very comfortable beds, and was close to Oxford and a strawberry farm. I enjoyed the stay.
Tracey was very friendly and welcoming. She showed us around the room and bathroom next door. We stayed for our friend's wedding at Notley Tythe Barn and it was so handy for somewhere to stay close by that wasn't expensive.
This was our second stay at Abbey Farm and was another wonderful experience. The Roost was extremely clean, cosy and the view was spectacular. The host Georgina was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend staying at Abbey Farm, it is a great breakaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We will definitely be booking again soon. Thank you very much.
We had the most amazing time at Abbey Farm. Kites Nest was immaculate and we were supplied with everything we needed. The owner was lovely and showed us how to work the outdoor heater, nothing was to much trouble. The hot tub was gorgeous and the scenery was beautiful. It was so peaceful. We are already looking into dates to book again! A perfect experience and a well needed break from everyday life. Thank you so much!
The most beautiful shepherd's hut. What a delight to stay at Abbey Farm.
All instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The hut has everything you need.
The shower was lovely and powerful. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was such a treat! We can't wait to come back again!
Thank you for a lovely stay.
This farm is an enchanting haven where nature's bounty thrives, offering a delightful escape filled with breathtaking landscapes. Impeccably managed and brimming with charm, it's an idyllic retreat that rejuvenates both the senses and the soul.
Very welcoming hosts.
Beautiful relaxing location.
Lovely to just sit and listen to the bird song.
Delightful to meet the resident horses, dogs and most excellent cats.
Very comfortable barn, well equipped.
Good walks in easy reach of the barn. Lots of attractions to visit without a long drive.
a very quaint converted barn in the farmyard of a manor. A beautiful location, quiet and with the added bonus of horses in the stables and resident cats. A generous space for two people with a good bathroom and good storage space in the bedroom. Laura was lovely.
Beautiful location, lovely barn conversion with mod cons and spacious feel. Ponies and horses in the adjacent barns and the resident cats and dog. As you approach the barn, it is situated on the grounds of what appears to be a huge manor house with a bridge and moat? very beautiful!
Beautiful, quiet farm location. Lovely barn conversion. Friendly dog dropped in daily for stroke. Great shower. Host lovely and responded quickly to questions and issues. Good local tips for things to do.
