For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Breakfast not included, but there was a lovely cafe a short walk away in the village centre. There were also a couple of good pubs with nice food locally.
Really rural and pretty location, nice and relaxing. A good spot to unwind and chill out. We were lucky enough to see a barn owl hunting one evening too.
The pub has a great menu. Good quality healthy food. The accommodation was next door, and despite being a barn conversion felt clean and modern inside. The air conditioning was greatly appreciated. The pub itself was olde world and very rustic. There was a lovely garden and plenty of off street parking. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Rooms were comfy and quiet,
On suite toilet and shower works well apart from the scale in the shower head!
Hotel in the middle of knowhere.
Oldy worldy manor / farm house.
There is a covered simming pool outside the hotel and some other ammenities, didnt use them?
Rooms were in the converted farm outbuildings, so away from the main farm house. En suite room with tea/coffee making facilities, comfortable bed, powerful shower. Property is in a small village close to Norwich airport, but so quiet, especially at night. Gentlemen I spoke to at check in was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Superb rural spot but within easy access of many places.
The barn itself was well equipped and comfortable.
No issues with parking.
Excellent liaison via email from the hosts regarding keys etc
We were met by Sarah who was a super host. Very friendly and she showed us round the farmhouse. Our room was spotless as was the rest of the accommodation. Breakfast was lovely and a walk through the garden to see the new born goats was very amusing. Sarahs husband Mick has done all the work on the farm and is only too pleased to talk about it if you show an interest.
Staff very friendly. We had a slight booking issue when we arrived, but Katrina worked really hard to sort it out and all resolved. Breakfast very good. The grounds were lovely and the honesty farm shop all good value prices. We ate at The Farmhouse, about 4 miles away - good food, generous portions. Max, the dog, was made very welcome, including his own sausage for breakfast one morning. First floor rooms are easiest to access.
Sarah & Mick were - once again - such fantastic hosts: so friendly & welcoming.
The farm house is characterful & the facilities are to a very good standard.
The cooked breakfast alone is worth returning for!
And, the views out over the garden & farm - goats, donkeys, & more - helped us to relax & feel like we
were properly getting away from the stresses of life.
Would we go back again? Of course!
