For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The cottage is beautiful. It's spotlessly clean with every amenity you could need (along with a visiting dog and a few red squirrels.) Aisling is very responsive,a fab host and has left lots of little tips in the book in the living room.
You definitely need a car to get about as it is very rural but it's very peaceful. Our children didn't want to leave, they absolutely loved it (as did we). We will be staying here again when we come back next year to visit family.
Thank you Aisling for a fabulous stay x
It's an active farm with sheep, ducks, etc. which gives an authentic experience. The host Carol was so nice and friendly. Gorgeous mountain, lake view and just a few mins away from shore too.
Host, stunning location, value and facilities.
Carol provides everything you need for your stay including homemade cakes and shortbread. Bread, milk and toiletries. Working farm so lots of hens, ducks, cats and cows to befriend.
Willow Tree Farm house was the perfect home away from home for our family get together! The house is decorated beautifully and has everything you could need for a few nights away. The owners were so helpful with any questions we had. The house is clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our group of 7 adults. As it is only 1 hour from Dublin and 40 minutes from Belfast it is a great location, and Newry town center is just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will be back!
The cottage was so homely. The host was so kind and had home made buns and fresh farm eggs for us arriving. Nothing was a bother for her. Our stay couldn’t have been any better. Will definitely be back. All round we give 5 star plus!
The Glebe Farm Cottage felt like a second home to us. The cottage is ver well equipped, in a peaceful and quiet location, super clean and cozy and David and Sharon are extremely friendly and helpful. They have lots of tips for the are and even for our further travels in Northern Irland.
The cottage is on a working farm and our highlight was the sun room from where you can watch all the animals and just relax.
The property was self catering, however er, the hostess gad baked pastry ,left, milk, farm eggs, milk and butter. She was extremely friendly and welcoming.
