For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
The hosts were extremely warm, welcoming and friendly and allowed us to experience their beautiful farm. We were able to feed the lambs and walk throughout the beautiful grounds at our leisure.
The Shepherds hut was absolutely spotless and contained everything you would need including a full kitted out kitchen.
It was a very calm and tranquil environment with amazing views.
We loved the nearby "Eggs to Apples" farmshop - lovely selection of healthy food including locally grown produce - also including basic products, such as bread and milk. And the friendly locals from the "Social Club" opposite the property supplied us with food on a Sunday evening.
