For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Rural location, very nice.
My scrambled eggs were superb! GF bread a bonus. Big pot of tea.
Nice touches of shower/bath liquids and bottled water in room. Soft, fluffy towels.
For pub accommodation it was just right. A bit old and rustic but clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, right on the foreshore and in easy walking distance to everything. The pub didn’t offer dining but we were able to get a great meal at another pub just a 5minute stroll along the marina. We are bike packers and the pub owner was very generous in letting us keep our bikes stored securely in the unused function room.
The pod was absolutely lovely and in an amazing location. It was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is great, very rural and quiet, and close to the pleasant villages of Coldingham and St Abbs.
Morag was a great host, very communicative and helpful and clearly cares about her guests enjoying their stay.
Brilliant place to stay for short stays and extended trips. Excellent on suite rooms, great cooking and cleaning facilities. Highly recommend to anyone working on NNG wind farm project.
it was a stunning little cottage, very quiet location on a farm with the owners living next door. no bother with them at all. very helpful on place to visit. lovely watching the sheep lambing. also got to pet one in the barn shed where they had to keep one warm. all one level for disabled people my mum enjoyed her stay. my dogs loved the little garden over looking the fields on the farm. the beach's was stunning one of my dogs loved running about the beach's. car parked right infront the cottage door.
