For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Stunning farmhouse accommodation set in a rural area of outstanding natural beauty. Hosts are so friendly and helpful. Loved the period features in the house and the very relaxing conservatory(withtea/coffee making facility) looking out on the Sperrin mountains. Lots of books and tourist info for residents. Tennis Court available. Great breakfast.
Beautiful farmhouse accommodation set in an area of outstanding beauty. Very helpful hosts. Beverages and biscuits available to visitors in sunroom. Very clean and comfortable bedroom. Good breakfast.
We received a wonderful warm welcome from our hosts who gave us a tour of the house and answered any questions we had. The house is a beautifully restored farmhouse. We particularly enjoyed the warm cozy fire. Would stay again.
Lovely rural location and farmhouse with character. Great for accessing towns and visiting family. Immaculately clean and cosy room. Anne and Shaun were lovely hosts. Superb scrambled eggs and home made marmalade. Was lovely to hear about the history of the farm and the running of it just now. Made my small dog very welcome and it was lovely to meet the beautiful Nippy. Definitely will be back. Thank you :)
I wanted a quiet place to stay after travelling all day. It was delightful. A lovely old farmhouse in rolling farmland. The hosts were very welcoming and interesting about all sorts of things. I loved the furniture and decorative details in my room, very comfortable but also with the quality of a bygone era.
Everything was great! It was lovely spacious comfortable and homely. Especially liked the large farmhouse kitchen complete with three piece suite, dining table and chairs and a full set of utilities. Great relaxing getaway in a quiet countryside location but with easy travelling for touring. Bed was very comfy.
Breakfast was excellent with homemade marmalade! Very accommodating with a fire and allowed us to eat a late supper in the dining room. Gave me an excellent education on Irish farming and was great to see a traditional Irish farmhouse. Easy access to the Giant's Causeway and Glenveagh Castle.
Lovely farmhouse. Really warm and friendly hosts. Breakfast was tasty. The room was fine and the location is very quiet and peaceful. Great value for money. I would definitely go back.
The hosts, Sean & Anne, were very friendly and welcoming, yet unobtrusive in the right measure. The breakfast and facilities far exceeded expectation with the conservatory being a perfect haven in the mid February weather after a wet trip out. It’s location was ideal for day trips to Donegal, Derry and the N Coast with a couple of beautiful country parks nearby to walk the dog. Often when driven to select dog friendly establishments some compromises are required - not so at Ballyhargan Farm House. Highly recommended.
