For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
We were a group of friends meeting up for a reunion. We had Sunday lunch in the Tythe barn and then all stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and very accommodating setting aside an area in the restaurant for us to spend the evening together. Our rooms were comfortable with everything that we required. The grounds are beautiful with lots of quirky features to explore and walks to enjoy. We will definitely return.
Good choice of breakfast and excellent food.
Dinner was very good. We had a lamb rump the first night which was so good we had it the second night too!
Room was is the main building which was a magnificent building with great views over the adjacent fields.
There is also an incredible, enormous tithe barn built out of the local yellow ham-stone which is used for functions.
Extensive grounds and river.
Made the booking to be at an 18th birthday party. A quirky location but terrific food and excellent service. Very friendly staff. Our room was in a separate building to the main building but large and very cosy. Rustic furnishings but a totally modern and spacious en-suite.
Plenty of parking. Excellent breakfast menu and efficient staff. Would definitely stay again.
Breakfasts were excellent - wide choice and great quality. Our room was well equipped, cosy and spacious - bed very comfortable. The farmhouse itself was a lovely period building. Our hosts were very welcoming.
Staff was absolutely brilliant with their customer service. On our first wedding anniversary day, it was truly a gentle touch to leave a lovely bunch of flowers in the room. Furthermore, I will definitely recommend to have meals to their at Tithe Barn Restaurant especially for a succulent Sunday Roast.
Everything was excellent.
The location was rural but not too far from anything you might need and very picturesque.
Property itself was very old fashioned and it's been very well kept. Very quirky. Especially the outside beer garden. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. We didn't eat in the restaurant as nothing took our fancy. We would certainly come and stay again.
Their was a function in the Barn on our 2nd night which was terribly loud, so couldn’t go to sleep until after it finished at 12.05 midnight! Definitely wouldn’t have stayed had we known about it.
