For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
A lovely welcome from the friendly host of this beautiful barn conversion. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a view over fields and a good choice of breakfast items. We enjoyed an evening meal at Verdes (Italian restaurant in Eccleston village) followed by a walk down to the river and a peaceful night's sleep. Well located for our trips to both Rufford Old Hall (National Trust) and Southport. We wish we could have stayed longer and would certainly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting this area.
Amazing place, old farmhouse/barn converted to super high standards. Goody box of fruit/cereal in room with more available was a lovely touch. Secure storage for bicycles too. Owners were amazing and did a washing for us, as we’re cycling LEJOG. Huge thank you
We arrived later in the evening and we're warmly welcomed. Good was rustic but had all we needed and was very comfortable.
Pub on the same grounds still had dinner available. Great food and atmosphere. Breakfast also at a very price.
Easy drive from Manchester airport and easy to find and park
Central location - near to family.
Stayed before and enjoyed.
Shower a little snug only gripe.
Great food/menu - used to stay at Malthouse Farm but food there gone downhill vastly.
Great you accept the Blue Light discount for food.
Arron our waiter was exceptional! Extremely helpful, informative, polite, professional and attentive. Brilliant service.
The staff were super friendly and Jane was particularly helpful. I wasn't expecting free food and beverages, but these were provided, with some tasty local produce included. Eccleston is a very pretty town with all you need for a short stay - nice and reasonable Italian Restaurant and a small craft beer pub!
The farm is in a lovely lush setting and the surrounding area is very pretty. The rooms were kept in a very tidy state.
Very happy with my stay.
Everything was excellent.
Good choices for a Continental breakfast. Convenient having breakfast in the room. Useful having a fridge. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean.
We would definitely choose Parr Hall Farm again if we stay in that area.
Perfect location for what we wanted and general setting quiet and peaceful. Welcoming and independence what we needed. Rustic farm charm rather than high end but we knew that before booking. Have stayed here before and would stay again.
