For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The animals roaming freely around the farm was lovely
to see. Getting to feed the Alpacas was a highlight for us. It was very clean and we felt at home from the moment we arrived.
Had a lovely stay in the beautifully decorated two bedroomed cottage, house is comfortable and very clean, and very well equipped, it was like a home from home. We also liked seeing all the animals on the farm especially the alpacas.
This a unique property located within a farm. The accommodation is of a high standard, homely and comfortable. We loved the decor. It was great having the animals on the property, our granddaughter loved that. Met Colene the owner who was friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here.
The property is on an amazing open plan farm surrounded by cows, horses, free roaming chickens, dogs and alpacas. Our toddler loved the experience and the hosts were more than helpful, thank you so much! Very close to Glasgow city centre and the airport but far enough to be in the fresh air. The farm is situated it seemed in the centre of some amazing attractions and places to visit. Thank you again I would highly recommend staying at the South Barlogan Farm!
South Barlogan Farm was a lovely quite rural escape form everyday life, yet within easy reach of Glasgow and Loch Lomond. the cottage was a comfortable size for a family of four with two bedrooms bathroom and open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. everything you needed was there from bath towels to washing up liquid, to board games and books to the lovely welcome box of scones and fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. beautiful views over the hills. we really enjoyed our stay
Beautiful property, spacious and clean. A lovely setting with farm animals on the doorstep (literally at times!). Colene was also very welcoming and easy to contact during our stay. We would love to stay again.
Lovely cottages, very clean and comfortable. Our grandson loved the animals and it was lovely to be able to feed the Alpacas. We were only 40 minutes from Loch Lomond .. very beautiful and the weather was exceptional for this time of year! Colene made us very welcome. We loved the eggs (from the farm) for breakfast.
We had a lovely week-end, thank you. Pascale, Mark, Emma, Benjamin, Rachel and Ernest!
