For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Beautiful farm setting, sunset so pretty, in harmony with the nature. Host Iain is so friendly and very helpful, he is knowledgeable and obviously knows his business. Wish we had more time to chat. The cottage we stayed was very homey and spotlessly clean. A big pity that we arrived late and left early for our stay, all of us (including our 2 teen children) wanted to stay longer.
Clean comfortable well equipped accommodation. Nice welcome pack. Set in lovely rural garden and felt quite private and secluded despite being adjoined to owner’s home.
The property is about 15-20 minutes from the town of Oban where all the restaurants etc are. SO you do need a car / taxi. Karen has maintained the property very well and the location is peaceful and has a great view of the loch, We did not have any meals here so would not be able to comment on the same. Went to a place call The Barn (about 30 minutes away) which was great.
The stay at the farm exceeded our expectations. We were just looking for a cheap B&B in the area, as it was too rainy all day for camping. I am very happy we stayed there. Lovely host and loved all about the stay. We had a typical breakfast experience and friendly host. This was an authentic B&B experience!
It is an impeccable new B&B back in a partially wooded and partially farming area. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Served a standard Scottish breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, tomato, hash browns and beans). Comfortable but not luxurious. A good base to visit Oban (30 min) and Glencoe (40 min).
The location was beautiful set within a working farm a short drive from Oban. The host was fantastic, extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area.
Fabulous hosts with such a lovely comfortable cottage in a wonderful location. Lots of local tips and information, and lovely to learn the history of the farm too. We enjoyed a very relaxing week here & would love to return.
We loved the warm welcome, and seeing life on a farm. The location is perfect for Oban, and climbing the hill behind Dalvuie Beag gave views of the Firth of Lorn, Lismore and Mull. Dalvuie Beag is well designed and comfortable. A stunning place.
The barn was quaint and cosy, clean and comfortable, great host who was very informative about the family croft and area, it was so peaceful and quiet, set in a glorious area, it was a bonus having a great restaurant on site open six night's a week serving delious food.
An ideal base for seeing the area.
