For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The hosts were so helpful and kind. It's a family setting, with other family or neighbors stopping by for coffee and snacks in their backyard. We arrived when there were baby calves and a new litter of puppies, so cute! The staff were welcoming to my curious 7 year old, who wanted to participate in all the goings-on at the farm. And the apartment is outfitted with toys and children's books. This was a great break from our city-life in Berlin!
