We had a wonderful stay at Rancho Ventura! It was definitely one of our favorite stays on our whole colombia trip!
Nata & David are tremendously accommodating and will help with any questions ! Additionally if you have a heart for animals we would highly recommend it - all the dogs have a place in our heart even after just two days.
The Finca is about a 10‘ jeep ride from filandia itself but it was never a problem to commute. There is a public transport (a jeep that comes by every now and then) that will take you to city center. If you have another area you need to go to (in our case for ex airport) it is no problem to arrange it through the hosts.
The dinners at the finca were excellent - all the meals are super fresh with ingredients grom the farm itself or surrounding neighbors.
The rooms are completely clean and very peaceful with the nature that is around the finca. We also enjoyed the hammocks that are on the terrace.
Overall i can highly recommend staying at this stay!

Beautiful cabin and in the midst of a garden.
The effort to get there from Filandia involved two jeep rides, but we are glad we got off the beaten track. Once at the hotel transportation to town was easy. In addition there were frequent buses to a trailhead which accessed a number of waterfalls. Plus the hosts were very hospitable and shared valuable information. We will return.

We totally fell on love with a house. Since very first moment we entered it seemed we got home some close to little land of paradise. Beautiful garden, terrace to enjoy bird watching or simply sipping a glass of wine. It was our last stop after tour around eje cafetero and I must say, I wish we discovered it before. It is in perfect location to make it as your hub for day trips around eje cafetero.
In terms of facilities, you have spacious bedroom and terrace. Good night sleep ensured as it is in peaceful location. Shower and hot water works perfectly. And breakfast with host company is perfect combo ☺️

The staff that works there is amazing. Patricia who’s the person that takes care of the Hotel is very humble and attentive to all of your needs. The Hotel itself is beautiful but has some flaws that may need to be fixed so people can enjoy their stay 100% instead of having disappointments as I did.
The room that we were given is a size of match box and there is where our issues started. We asked for a better room and the person uncharged of the hotel courteously showed us other options and we liked another room. She put us in touch with the owner who graciously agreed to changed us to another room ad he said he wanted us to be happy and enjoy our stay. A few min later the person in charged of the hotel told us that we will need to pay more for the new room, and I told her that was not the conversation I had with the owner. She called the owner once again and he communicated that after taking to his business partner they felt that they needed to charges more due to the other room was for three people and not for two. That they will loose money if they gave us the new room. So customer service here is not important, but money is.
We ended up starting in the same room as we were disappointed of our last conversation with the owner. That same night we decided to take a shower brote going to sleep as wee drove most of the day to get there. We found another problem, there was not hot water in our room. The next day we communicated this to the person in charged and they came to the room and verified the issue. A few min later she came back and said that the owners communicated to her that we can change rooms now for free with no extra charge due to the inconvenience. We decided not to change rooms as we settle and put all of our belongings down to stay in the small room. However, we started taking showers at a different room as we were given access.

For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
It's a great place to enjoy with my wife. They have an outstanding mountain view and the food is delicious. The people attending is very kind and super responsive at all time. The farm have some animals that you can feed.
Such an amazing hostel in the middle of the beautiful Colombian nature. The other guests and the workers were so nice and made me feel home. Every night they have fun activities to gather the guests, and every day there’s different activities such as horseback riding and coffee farms at very reasonable prices. Would come back!
As said by many, David and Nata were genuinely great hosts, cooking delicious meals for us, showing us around the farm with all kinds of animals including refugee dogs and pig, booking tours for us, and sharing their life with us. After a stay in cities, this was an oasis for our souls; we had great sleep there. We hang around in the farm for a day, watching Nata milk cows and cook dinner, and reading a book in a hammock.
Great place with amazing views of coffee farms, mountains, and the nature. There’s a beautiful river that runs by the property which we got a chance to see and experience. The staff was super welcoming and made us feel as home as soon as we got off the car, the food was fresh and tasty and there was always fresh coffee and water available to all guests.
We rented the bungalow, it was very private and absolutely beautiful. A great place to enjoy the coffee region. Thank you Gloria for everything. We really enjoyed your beautiful farm!
I loved how the family made you feel like apart of their family. My son really enjoyed all the animals and helping out on the farm. He didn't want to leave.
I highly recommend Selina in Finlandia, for nature lovers, this is the place to stay. It's not far away from the center by taxi, the staff was super friendly and they made sure we were feeling at home. The decoration in the room was beautiful and the typical architecture of a coffee farm made it very special. I love the fact that they have friendly dogs in the hotel and the view of the beautiful forest from the room.
If you stay in Filandia and want a nice small family-run place that is just nice, this is the one. Very friendly communication, nice rooms, nice views. It's appropriately priced, and there are plenty breakfast options in the neighbourhood.
They advised a coffee tour with a local small farm, local knowledge makes the difference. And the cat is an attention and cuddle-grabber.
The location was rural but within 15 minutes of the town. The breakfast was delicious and special requests were accommodated. The family dedicates itself to making guests feel at home and sharing how they live. They could not have been kinder. Plus, lots of animals to interact with!
if you are looking for a quiet place in nature and if you like horses, THIS is the place for you! The farm is located a few minutes away from town so make sure you bring some snacks. However, Yvette also prepares really good food every evening. The place is beautiful and cosy! There are enough places to chill outside as well as inside. The internet was working very well. Yvette is such a nice person! For me, the steel horse ranch was the best stay I experienced in Colombia!
