For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
The swimming pool and spa were brilliant. There was a wide range of facilities. The host booked us a restaurant where we had an excellent meal. The location was pleasantly rural.
Simple, clean budget accommodation in the city centre, not far from the station and with the Barnabeer bar just around the block. No reception, but pretty easy communication with the staff via email. My single had a comfy bed, and a clean, new-looking en suite bathroom. The large shared kitchen on the ground floor has everything you need for self-catering. The great price offsets any problems with the thin walls and nearby school.
The house is just fantastic! Very tasteful and good quality design, beautiful old sculptures and artwork, it is beautiful and very well equipped (especially the kitchen! nothing is missing). The rooms are comfortable. Also in the summer heat the house is pleasantly cool. We enjoyed the terrace. It is located on historic abbaye grounds, so the surroundings are exceptional. We really enjoyed the restaurant, kids loved the farm animals and the gardens and the overall feel of the place is jūst superb.
Lovely restoration of old farm building in a very quiet village just outside Namur. Needed an overnight stop on a long journey across Europe and found this. But really deserves more than an overnight stay.
Amazing place to stay.
Shame we only stayed for one night. Very rustic. Although only a couple of Kms outside of Namur, it really did feel like you were in the countryside. Bed so comfortable and kids also loved the sofa bed.
