For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
This farmstead offered my group a much-desired space to explore mindfulness and conscious connections. We were able to stargaze, climb a nearby hill, and enjoy warm, comfortable rooms all at ready convenience. The houses were a little cold but that problem was mitigated with log fires, plenty of hot drinks and the extra bedding provided. Thankful to the hosts for being so kind and generous where it came to check-out and providing amenities. Would certainly consider coming back again.
Such a beautifully designed space on a lovely, peaceful farm and the owner was very helpful and friendly. It's close to very nice walking areas and tasty food spots. We especially loved having the roaring fire!
Lovely farm style accommodation. Loved sitting on the front porch and using the private woodfire. Very welcoming hosts. Will want to be accepting of three large Bernese dogs close contact, noise at night, and hound aroma permeating the living areas.
Beautiful location surrounded by hills, farmland, a delightful garden and beehives for local honey. No issues with wifi. Spacious accommodation with 2 couples staying. Kitchen / fridge and wood heater / oven all lovely to use and very handy.
The location was amazing settled amongst the hills on a private secure farm with a gate. The farm house is a gorgeous house with an upstairs loft with 2 beds and a huge bathroom. Everything you need for a stay away. It has an upstairs deck with an amazing sunrise view. Our boys loved the horses and dog. The creek was a hit with all the family as well. Clive the owner was great with our boys letting them feed the horse and helpful with things around the property. It was a wonderful get away.
We loved our stay at Halls on Falls! Pam and John were wonderful hosts, welcoming us to the property, inviting us to feed the highland cows and meet their dogs, and popping by with some homemade nectarine jam on our last day. Quiet, rural surrounds in Strath Creek, fields and trees, a barbecue for guests and an outdoor pool for hot summer afternoons. A short drive into town and the new general store, The General. The Kerrisdale Mountain Railway is also nearby with rides on Sundays at 11am and midday. A perfect weekend away with our toddler!
Situated on a farm, so peaceful and magnificent environment. staff go above and beyond to make your stay very comfortable.
