Looking for a farm stay?
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!

Kush is a wonderful host, and the retreat is beautiful, deer and kangaroo everywhere, great food. It's a working farm so it's interesting to see what goes on. Totally peaceful weekend getaway.

We had the best time at Canyonleigh Retreat! The place is so beautiful, the rooms are super clean and comfortable, and the entire staff is really the best! Kush is such a super host, made us feel very welcomed. The 6.5k forest walk is a must-do, it's easy to spot all the types of birds and native animals around the farm, and the food is superb. We had breakfast, the grazing box, and dinner, all delicious and made with local ingredients. I'm sure that we are coming back in no time.

The setting is quiet, rural and less than 30 minutes from some major Southern Highlands towns. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a generous contemporary bathroom. One warning, do not attempt to rush either the Breakfast Hamper or the Picnic Hamper. Both have enough goodies for you to graze away a few hours rather than having a rushed meal. Both hampers contain items that are either produced on the property or sourced locally. As a host, Cush is absolutely delightful, attentive without being intrusive. A perfect host.

Everything about the stay was amazing, great atmosphere, host and set up. Made for a very relaxing visit even with young children who enjoyed exploring the gardens and running up and down along the verandahs. The breakfast was amazing, with so much of the produce grown on the farm. Highly recommend a visit.

Canyonleigh Retreat is a stunning farm stay. My parents and I stayed for four nights in late September 2023 and created memories that will last a lifetime. I loved the philosophy of the farm - zero waste, organic and sustainable. Our host, Kush went above and beyond in ensuring we had everything we needed. The outdoor fire pits were one of our highlights, as were our room, served breakfasts, forest walks and day trips to nearby towns.

Wonderful host. Very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our bike ride through the Forest Rd. Great way to start our stay at Canyonleigh. Followed by offering us their freshly baked fig cake - figs sourced from their farm. Freshly baked fig cake and tea was a great wind down for the afternoon. Then seeing the night through with some wine and a open firepit. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were clean.

New facilities and amenities located in a very tranquil area of the Southern Highlands. Spacious living room and comfy beds. Kush was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very comfortable including getting the fireplace started.. Breakfast was delicious using farm grown and local produce (and was generously portioned).

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful rural setting, amongst the farm and the forest. There’s a lovely 6km trail we jogged in the forest.
