It is a very nice and modern hotel and our room was very spacious.The sofabed was included in the cleanup .The hotel is located very close to the Navy-Yard/Ballpark Metrostation (3 min walk). A supermarket and various restaurants are nearby and the breakfast was very good.The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and spacious.

Only a few blocks from the United States Capitol, and nestled in the historical neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. This was our first time staying at this hotel. The staff was amazing and it was such a friendly atmosphere! The staff continually went out of their way to ensure that the guests had a great stay!

Love how clean and modern the hotel. Staff super friendly and the location was excellent so close to restaurants and amenities. Navy yard waterfront is steps away and is so beautiful. Short Uber ride to capital hall where all the capital attractions are. Would stay at the Thompson hotel again when I return, and would recommend to everyone! Read a lot of reviews and decided on the Thompson as it was luxury for the right price without compromising any luxury!

Good coffee and breakfast options nearby. (Check out the Roost for a great food hall with exceptional beer bar, or walk down to the Tune Inn for one of American's great dives.)
