Best stay in town. I was solo travelling NY and stayed at Riverside Tower for a whole week. The room was small but very smartly designed (I stayed at the double room + river view), so it was very easy to organize my stuff, and I didn't feel that I was missing anything in the room. The bed was super comfy, AC worked great, I had a small desk to work on, and the best part of it all - the view from my bed was absolutely AMAIZING. Besides that the room was very clean and attended frequently. The hotel staff were super nice and helpful! They went above and beyond to help me with changes I had to do with my bookings, and were all very pleasant and friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. Besides that, I loved the location. Since it is not in midtown Manhattan it has a very calm and safe atmosphere on one hand, and you still have everything you need in a walking distance - Bars, shops, comedy club, etc. I felt very safe wandering around the hotel, even at night, and had convenient public transport to the city center both via metro (during the day), and busses which run also later at night. Lastly - there is coffee, tea, and hot coco in the lobby every morning, and some kitchen facilities that can be used (: I can't recommend it enough!
