We love the Big Apple and have fun every time we are there.
We love the Big Apple and have fun every time we are there. We used the ferry system a lot this trip as the weather was so nice and it was a fun way to get around. We also went by foot a lot. We got in lots of steps everyday and could enjoy all the sights and sounds of the city by being immersed in it. We went to a newly opened jazz club, Italian ice-cream parlor, and excellent restaurant, all on the same block (near Union Square). We met up with family and ate a lot of great food. We will definitely be back!

I was astonished to observe how clean the city streets were, most impressive. Many homeless living on the streets. Sad to see. We were actually approached by a homeless man who offered to carry our heavy bags to the hotel. I figured he couldn't run off with our bags so I let him pull them along the street to our hotel. He wanted to know our first names and I told him. As we walked along, he started to sing and incorporated our names in his song. Only in New York. I gave him $5.oo and he told me that it was too much, I told him I loved his singing and to keep the money, he had earned it. The trains run on time and can get you just about anywhere in the city and they are clean. However, do not take the pushcart rides, we did, and agreed to pay the rider $75 by credit card, and next thing our statement showed there had been a $450.oo withdrawal. Gives a bad name to them, our rider was a Turkish lad who was afraid of his boss and insisted payment by credit card only to prove he was working. Should have paid him in cash and walked away. Taxis are also costly as the traffic jams are legendary, and taxis charge by the minute.

Great city, be prepared to walk loads and google maps is your best friend for getting around the city. The Subway is great and gets you to most places without any hassle, it takes a day or so to work it out but again use your google maps it lets you know what subway to get on. There is so much to do, we were there as a family of 4 and my teenage kids had the best time! Do your homework before you travel, make an itinerary and book trips. I joined a New York Facebook page for tips and that helped loads. I can’t wait to go back.

Very expensive for basic things, to many Spanish speaking people trying to con and beg money out of me. I did stay on Broadway and really enjoyed The Great Gatsby show. The Brooklyn Diner was way to cramped and rude table service.

I have so many examples but main thing about NY is the people who we find friendly, warm and generous. To quickly tell you a story I left my wallet in a cab. We had no idea of cab number etc. He dropped us off at Lincoln center. We traveled back to SoHo where we were staying. This amazing cab driver spend 2 HOURS trying to find me and due to room key he return the wallet to me . Amazing man of honor.

So much to do and see.
So much to do and see. An excellent city in which you find a little bit of everything. The 9/11 museum and the American Museum of Natural History are a great visit. However if you are short on time the Natural History Museum needs a lot of hours so plan you visit wisely that it does not chew up too much valuable time. The hop on-hop off bus is a great way to get you bearings.
Good value for money for New York. Easy direct 4 stop subway to Times Square. We were a family of 5 and had a family room with 3 beds. Very compact with little luggage space but comfortable, very clean & modern, great shower, delicious coffee in the mornings and friendly staff. Shopping on Broadway a short walk away and loads of food options surrounding the hotel. Excellent bagels at a convenience store nearby which we enjoyed for a cheap & easy breakfast. We liked being away from the chaos of Times Square.
The Warwick Hotel is in a fantastic location 5-10 mins walk from Times Square. Perfect base to get to all major attractions with subway stations close by but far enough away from the lights of Times Square so as not to disturb your sleep. Hotel has lots of character with excellent facilities and staff. Rooms are surprisingly big for Manhattan and were very well appointed with comfortable beds.
The hotel is well located especially if you are planning to visit the city. The area (Times Square is noisy) but the hotel windows are sound proof. The room I got was tiny but functional, the bed was comfortable, the desk was of good size. The bathroom has a great shower and is of good size (compared to other POD hotels in Manhattan).
I enjoyed my stay.
The location was magnificent in the heart of Manhattan, just a short stroll from Times Square. Loved it. There's nowhere in central New York that could really be described as 'good value' - but this was less expensive than most and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to NYC.
It’s one of the cheapest alternatives in Manhattan. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Excellent location in Koreatown, just next to Empire State. It’s a walking distance to Times Square and even to SoHo if you’re a good walker.
